Safe Grad – The Event • Evening of June 19-20th, 2014 • Magaguadavic Lake • Students register after graduation and parent reception at FHS (approx 10:30 pm busses begin to leave) • Students return to school between 5:30 and 6:00 am for pick up by parents • Supervised by teachers, administration, police officers, fire department & lifeguards

  4. Safe Grad - Fundraising • $20 000 event • District Transportation Support ?? • Safe Grad Committee will drive fundraising • Parental Support • Sign up sheet for volunteering • Community Support • Corporate, Business or individual financial donations • Product or

  5. Prom - Structure • Administration – Mr. N. Langille • Faculty Advisors – Mrs. Marion Hiltz – Mrs. Louise Standing - Mr. Gary McDonald • Prom Committee of approx 10 students • No application – Students see Mrs. Hiltz in the new year if interested

  6. Prom – The Event • June 16th, 2014 - SUB Ballroom/Atrium • Self-funded through ticket sales • Ticket sales in late May/early June • Dates must be 21 and under • $25/person – no change for 2014 • + balance in 2012, - balance in 2013

Prom – The Event • Tentative Schedule • 5:00 vehicles congregate behind Aitken Center • 6:15 Parade of vehicles begins to SUB • Grand March occurs after parade completed (approx 8:00 pm) • Buffet/Desserts served throughout the night • Prize draws through out the night • 10:00 PM “Ironcouple” draw • 10:30 Prom Ends

  8. Prom - Expectations • Regular school rules and expectations • Drug ,Alcohol and Tobacco free event • Searching of bags/items – not responsible for items confiscated • Responsibility for date • In/out policy • Not permitted in other sections of SUB

  9. Prom – Vehicles • If motorized, must be street legal • Non-motorized are permitted (Green Prom) • No vehicles towing people • No Horses or other animals • No vehicles over 5000 kg (except school bus)

  10. Grad Fees • Mr. Shane Thomas • $120 with $20 refunded upon return of gown • Replaced $60 gown fee • Extra $40 helps to cover rental of AUC, drapery costs, emergency services, audio-visual support • Use to come out of instructional budgets
