IndianaMap Data Standards and Collaboration Goals

The Charline Avey Chair Streets & Address workgroup aims to standardize data and enhance the IndianaMap. Goals include developing data standards, quality control criteria, and expanding data sharing.   2. Goals • Develop data standards and identify appropriate standards-based data schema. • Develop plans that include the following: • Inventory of existing data • Stakeholder data requirements • Data stewards • Costs • Work flow

  3. 2011 tasks • Explore the feasibility and methodology of "Crowd Sourced” Map Update • Develop quality Control criteria for Indiana Map contribution • Develop repair recommendations/ and or tools • Post point address ranges to centerlines and review

  6. Next Steps 2011 Goal • Complete QA/QC Review • Identify potential users of cleaned data • Help sources fill in the blanks • Begin Cleanup with support from Broadband Grant

  11. Objectives • Develop data requirements specific to Utility Needs. • Develop communications to promote the IndianaMap to Utilities. • Develop Training materials to support usage of the IndianaMap Framework layers • Create download tool for IndianaMap by polygon for selected features

  12. Objectives • Develop Statewide data layer for utility service areas • Create tool using above feature for “Who you going to call” for service
