  6. Implementing the Keep America Beautiful Cigarette Litter Prevention Program on average reduces cigarette butt litter by half! Strategies: Review and support anti-litter laws Build public awareness Install ash receptacles at transition points Encourage the use of portable ashtrays How Can a Community Respond?

  7. Gather a Task Force Assess needs and establish a budget Kick-off Cigarette Litter Prevention Program Evaluate impact by scanning (counting) Sustain and expand the program How the Program Works
