More entrepreneurial youth Joint (CB scale + together) activities making young people (pupils, students) more entrepreneurial Joint activities that lead to the creation of new smart businesses New smart companies More products and services to new markets Joint cluster-based activities to take new and existing products and services to new markets

New attractions based on natural and cultural heritage Joint activities to develop natural and cultural heritage into sustainable attractions More sustainable marine and coastal ecosystems Joint activities related to maritime spatial planning and integrated coastal zone management Cleaner water of the Baltic Sea Joint activities to work out and use the methods and technologies to achieve cleaner water More sustainable urban environment Joint activities related to planning of urban environment in sustainable way

Time saving low carbon transport solutions and improved transport corridors Evaluation Joint activities to achieve more integrated sustainable transport solutions Selection & Joint activities to improve transport corridors Joint activities to develop the services of CB small ports Better services of CB small ports

  9. Financing - 115 millioneurosavailable for projects •Co-financingrates: •75 % in Finland, Åland, Sweden •85 % in Estonia, Latvia • Partnersfrom at leasttwocountries • Firstcallwillbeopenedearliest in November 2014

  10. South-EastFinland-RussiaCBC-Programme 2014-2020 (ENI) Core programme area: • FINLAND: Kymenlaakso, South Karelia, South Savo • RUSSIA: St. Petersburg, Leningrad oblast Question about adjacent regions still open

ThematicObjectives: • (1) Business and SME development (Strategic objective A), • (2) Support to education, research, technological development and innovation (Strategic objective A), • (6) Environmental protection, climate change adaptation and disasters prevention/management (Strategic objective B), and • (10) Promotion of border management and border security (Strategic objective C) • Elements of theme 3 (culture& heritage) could be included in themes 1 & 2 and elements from theme 7 (accessibility, transport, communication newtworks) could be added to theme 10.

South-EastFinland-RussiaCBC-Programme 2014-2020 (ENI) • FUNDING • The allocation of programme funds should be available in June/July from the European Commission. • It is expected that the amount of funds will be approximately as in the current programme. • Large Investment projects • max 30 % of EU funding • Mainly related to border crossing points
