Agreement on the necessity of an overall picture and of basic architectural principles Concerns on complexity: keep the analysis simple and focussed, especially for communication purposes See what is there, focus on the scope, identify missing « pieces » Next Steps: Interfaces with MS Do not to recycle the old products, opportunity for reengineering Concentrate on Governance and Processes Owners driven Early involvement of all stakeholders Iterative and incremental path ST-02 EA

  7. Move towards one single platform Need of a collaborative platform to share good practices driven by national needs, with, when needed, physical meeting or teleconference. Committment of countries needed and active participation in the animation of the forums Leading role of DIME on quality of EU statistics : identifying priorities through, among others, the analysis of quality reports using different dimensions. Non-response remains an open issue WP-02-03 New collaborations

  8. Focus on benefits (quality, efficiency) and success factors Different functions to be played by DIME : input/review (feedback) Resources are key: staff and ESSnet. Explicit call for support from SpS in the different task forces. Link with Joint Strategy WP-04 SpS

  9. Interest in the initiative and first positive impressionon the results of the first Sprint session on GSIM Sprint looks like an interesting methodologywhich could be considered inside the ESS Feedback requested on report that will be circulated next week WP05 HLG-BAS

  10. Progress has been achieved but more time needed for formal opinion (end of April) Concerns expressed on: Business case Microdata Sunset clause Formal letter to be sent to DGs as National coordinators with plan for implementing measures, to be answered by end-April WP-06 Cross-cutting legislation

The handbook is well received but should be considered as guidelines Formalisation of the process is needed but after works by SpS Still some comments to be sent and taken on board Endorsement by DIME and adoption requested by ESSC DIME will be given one additional month for reaction WP-07 Handbook on variance estimation
