  1. Mission 24/7 Re-building the walls of the city

  2. Objectives • 1000 Churches praying 24/7 • 12 Night & Day Prayer Watches • 250 Prayer Missionaries

  3. If My people… “If My people, who are called by My name… seek My face…” (IIChron.7:14) Seeking His face is all about … Earnestly seeking Him for who He is, in total surrender and abandoning yourself. (Ps.63:1)

  4. Part 2: … seek My face … Definition: “Seek/seeking” • to look for • trying to find • to make search for Definition: “Face” • Outer appearance from the front • Special appearance or expression of the countenance • Expression of anger or favour

  5. … seek My face … Biblical context: Seeking the face, meaning to seek the audience and favour of God or man Ps.24:4-6 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.

  6. … seek My face … Biblical context: Ps.27:5 For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD. Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! You have said, "Seek my face." My heart says to you, "Your face, LORD, do I seek." Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!

  7. … seek My face … Biblical context: Hiding the face: withdrawing favour Job 34:26-29 He strikes them for their wickedness in a place for all to see, because they turned aside from following Him and had no regard for any of his ways, so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to Him, and he heard the cry of the afflicted. When He is quiet, who can condemn? When He hides his face, who can behold Him, whether it be a nation or a man?

  8. … seek My face … Biblical context: Ps.30:7,8 By your favor, O LORD, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed. To you, O LORD, I cry, and to the Lord I plead for mercy. Isa.54:7,8 For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you. In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you," says the LORD, your Redeemer.

  9. … seek My face … Biblical context: Man hiding the face, a sign of humility/reverence Ex.3:6 And he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. 1Kings 19:11-14 And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" He said, "I have been very jealous for the LORD, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword, and I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away."

  10. … seek My face … Biblical context: Turning away the face – a sign of rejection Jer.2:27 … who say to a tree, 'You are my father,' and to a stone, 'You gave me birth.' For they have turned their back to me, and not their face. But in the time of their trouble they say, 'Arise and save us!‘ Jer.18:15-17 Like the east wind I will scatter them before the enemy. I will show them my back, not my face, in the dayof their calamity.“ Jer.32:33 They have turned to me their back and not their face. And though I have taught them persistently, they have not listened to receive instruction.

  11. … seek My face … Being afraid of a face, means to be afraid of the person himself. (Food for thought)

  12. … seek My face … Benefits of seeking His face • Salvation (Paul) • Deeper revelation of Jesus Christ (John) • Discover your identity (Jesus) • Receive favor with God (Moses) • Faith to conquer enemies (Gideon)

  13. … seek My face … Seven ways to seek the Lord • Whole-heartedly Deut.4:29 But from there you will seek the LORD your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. • Continually 1Chron.16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! • Humble yourself 2Chron.7:14

  14. … seek My face … Seven ways to seek the Lord • By intimate conversation with God Ex.33:11 Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent. • By turning away from sin Hosea 7:2-12. But they do not consider that I remember all their evil. Now their deeds surround them; they are before my face.

  15. … seek My face … • By preparing the heart 2Chron.19:3 Nevertheless, some good is found in you, for you destroyed the Asherahs out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God." • Seek Him diligently Heb.11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
