  3. Doel • Ontsnapping door Oost-Berlijners verhinderen • Oosten = extreem armWesten = relatief rijk • Vluchtelingen werden hardhandig tegengehouden • Wachtposten

  4. Oorzaak van de bouw • Na WOII => Duistland + Berlijn verdeeld in 4 delenVSA, Frankrijk, Groot-Brittannië, Sovjet-Unie • 3 westerse landen voegen delen samen = KAPITALISMESovjet-Uniebehoudtzijndeelonder het communisme

  5. Oorzaak van de val • Oost-Duitsland kreeg besef van armoede=> iedereen wou naar Westen • Communisme kon economisch geen stand meer houden

  6. Wat gebeurde wanneer? • 1949 => verdeling Oost- en West-Berlijn • Hierna => onvrede groeide in DDR • 12/13 augustus 1961 => bouw muur • 9 november 1989 => val van de muur • 3 oktober 1990 => Duitsland herenigd
