  2. 2B’s Schedule • 8:00-9:00 Morning Work • 9:00-10:00 Integrated Language Arts • 10:00-10:20 Snack • 10:20-10:55 Integrated Language Arts • 10:55-11:20 Social Studies (M,T) Science (W,Th) Journal (F) • 11:25-12:05 Lunch • 12:10-12:30 DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) • 12:30-1:10 Math • 1:10-1:45 Religion • 1:50-2:30 Special • 2:35-2:50 Copy HW and pack up

  3. Morning Work • Daily Edit • Monday through Thursday – Review Pages • Fridays – Daily Edit Quiz • Math Word Problem (Terra Novas) • Math Practice Book • Morning Writing Prompts • Anything sent home with check marks or “C’s” can stay home. • Anything with a number grade needs to be signed.

  4. ILA • 6 Themes (5 Lessons Each Theme) • Spelling HW (Tic-Tac-Toe activity) • Home Reading Log (15 minutes a night) – Phanatic About Reading

ILA (Integrated Language Arts) • Question of the Day • Review High-Frequency • Phonics • Spelling • Focus Skill • Story • Robust Vocabulary • Daily Edit • Grammar • Writing Portfolios & Photo stories • Weekly Reading Test (Open Book) • Check Class Page for Spelling, High-Frequency Words, and Robust Vocabulary

  6. Snack Time • 1 Healthy Snack • Water bottles • Any unfinished work will be completed during this time. • Birthday Treats

Math • Start Math Timed Test the 1st week in October. • They will be taken on Tuesdays. • 50 Addition problems in 3 minutes (Check class page for practice websites) • Around January, the students will begin the Subtraction Timed Test. • Before every Chapter Test, I will send home a Chapter Pretest.

  8. Social Studies • Units (Community, the Earth, Our Past, Why is it Important to Work, and Our Government) • Long Units (Review as we go along) • Vocabulary Quiz and Unit Test • No Written Homework

  9. Science • Units (Life Science, Physical Science, Earth Science, and Human Body) • Vocabulary Quiz and Chapter Test • No Written Homework

  10. Religion • Everything that is highlighted in their Religion Books are on the test. • Prayer Partners • Act of Contrition

  11. Rewards • Behavior Chart (each month a ticket) • Good Time Tickets (20 tickets gets a prize) • Surprise!
