How do I make a blackout poem? • First, read the entire page you have selected. • Next, choose words that you would like to include in your poem and underline them in pencil. • Then, choose how you want those words to fit together for your poem. • Finally, create emphasis on the words you’ve selected by either blacking out the other words on the page or somehow highlighting the ones you’ve chosen in a creative and unique way.
