  4. PLAUTO“HOST” Historicalcontext Roman playwright (254-184 a. C).He wrote most of his works in the last twenty years.He was inspired by the Greek New Comedy.  He wrote one hundred comedies.  Twenty complete comedies are preserved Varrón ( Fabulae Varronianae )
