This document outlines the migration strategies for the LHCb secretariat to central CERN services. It emphasizes collaboration with various support personnel such as Olivier Martin and Wim van Leersum. Key actions take place in July, focusing on the documentation and integration of the CERN/HR database (PIE). The use of the CERN Library Weblib system for storing LHCb internal notes is highlighted, along with plans for mailing lists and a centralized web server for information access. The system aims for operational readiness by early August, ensuring efficient navigation and archiving of data.

Review structure and content of pages • HOME : access to common information • Fast access to relevant information e.g. next collab meeting • Archiving of old information e.g. link to LOI • General services…BWHO, meetings,… • LEVEL 1 : access to projects • Fast access to project specific general information, events, people, documents, mailing lists • Mainly links • LEVEL 2 : contains real information • Arranged so that topical and relevant information accessible • Possibility of sub-levels for more detailed information
Review File Structure • Each sub web maintained by a different person • Common approach to file structure and naming will ease maintenance e.g. agendas, minutes,… • Naming of directories should reflect contents of pages rather than format of the documents
Page Layout • Navigation bars • Is vertical bar useful? At which levels? • Horizontal bar at top with small set of buttons? • Pages with information content should not use shared borders? • Takes up space when printing • …change default?
Management • Need Webmaster • Technical support • Maintain general web pages – every day • Need Subwebmasters • Maintain subwebs • Archive obsolete information
