Nutrition plays a vital role in maintaining health and preventing diseases. The three main nutrients—carbohydrates, fats, and proteins—contribute to our body’s energy needs, with 50% of energy sourced from carbohydrates, 35% from fats, and 15% from proteins. Dietary habits are influenced by socio-economic factors, making it challenging for some populations to maintain healthy diets. A balanced intake of nutritious foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and proteins, along with adequate water intake, is crucial for safeguarding against obesity and other diseases.
