  5. Courtyard • “Around him in the mud-walled courtyard,and the sharp, hot odor of metal mingling with the soft afternoon breeze off the Nile.”(p.8) • The court yard is where they slept at night. • In this picture is a courtyard.

  6. Gold shop • “Tell your honored brother how he promised me a copper a day for life if I would serve him at the gold shop”. • The gold shop is where they make the gold. • In this picture is a golden leaf they make for the queen

  7. Problem 1 • Ranofer does not like living with Gebu so he ask Gebu if he can live by himself. When Gebu heard him he burst out laughing.

  8. Problem 2 • Somebody is stealing gold from the shop and only Ranofer knows who it is so read the book to find out who’s stealing.

  9. Problem 3 • Somebody has stolen a very nice piece of gold and nobody knows who it is. You have to read this book to see who did.

  10. Story Critique • This book was very exciting and amazing • I think the people who read this book should be in the 5th grade and up. • You have to read the book to find out who is stealing the gold. Is it gebu or somebody else.
