Is time up for the World’s Orang-utans? Your task The World’s last populations of wild Orang-utans are being threatened with extinction as a result of human activity. In 10 years the last of the World’s Orang-utans could be extinct as a result of the action of people. Produce a poster or booklet highlighting the plight of these creatures: • Include information about why the creatures are special • Why their forest is under threat, mention deforestation and palm oil production. • What people in Indonesia are doing to help. • What we in the UK can do to help these beautiful creatures. • Do you think we should let them become extinct for the sake of ‘progress’ and making money?
