  2. Lesson Goal: Students will learn about the Kaw nation, a Native American tribe known as the Wind People (Lit book pp. 145 – 146). Outcomes: Be able to . . . Use headings to help you identify four key points in “The Wind People.” State the main idea of each of the four sections of “The Wind People.”

  3. Starter : If you did not finish your reading “Ta-Na-E-Ka” or completing the follow-up questions on Lit book p. 142, that’s your first priority today during class. If or when you have finished reading “Ta-Na-E-Ka” and answering the Lit book questions, please turn to p. 145 and read “The Wind People” (pp. 145 – 146), another selection about Native Americans. This article is only two pages long. When you finish reading it, please do p. 147, the Test Practice (#1 – 4) and Constructed Response questions #2 and #3. If you finish early, you may read your AR book. 
