Main Dutiesand Responsibilities • Taxi drivers and chauffeurs take passengers to and from their home, workplaces, and recreational pursuits. • They drive people places, such as dining, entertainment, and shopping, and business-related events. • Drivers must be alert of the conditions on the road especially in heavy or congested traffic.

  3. Education and Training Requirements • Taxi drivers or chauffeurs should have a high school diploma or a GED. • Drivers need to be able to communicate effectively, read maps, and use basic math.

  4. Required Qualifications • Taxicab or limousine drivers must have a commercial drivers License (CDL) or a hacks license. • Taxi drivers and chauffeurs work almost exclusively with the public, and should be able to get along with many different types of people.
