  2. The Gods The Egyptian gods are a huge part of this book. Without the gods this book wouldn’t be a book. In this book there are some gods about to destroy the world, some gods trying to stop the other gods from destroying the world, and gods fighting. In order for gods to enter the mortal world they have to use a object like an amulet, or a host.Some of the gods in this book are Horus, Isis, Osiris, Set, Bast, Apophis, and Ra.

  3. The Magicians The magicians are also a huge part to this story. Carter, Sadie, there family, and the trainees are magicians. There are rebel magicians that want to attack and destroy Carter and Sadie’s uncle Amos at the first Nome. Magicians are usually the host of gods. The magicians don’t get to choose the gods choose. In this story the magicians are either trying to stop Apophis from rising or helping him.

  4. The Demons The demons aren’t really a big part of this book but they are pretty much all bad and want to help Apophis rise.

  5. The Main Enemies This whole book is pretty much circled around two gods: Ra and Apophis. While Apophis is trying to rise Ra is an old man who just rise again. A give you a little hint: Ra and Apophis battle. Who will win. Just find out by reading the book.
