  1. Invasive/Exotic Species By: Katie Kitowski

  2. Why did Bryn’s dad wash the boat? • Lake Michigan is full of invasive species such as zebra mussels. One way to prevent the spread of them is to wash your boat before you go into a different lake.

  3. Animal Extinction because of Exotic/Invasive Species? If zebra mussels or any of the invasive species get so out of control, they could end up having an other animal become extinct. With that being said, this doesn’t happen very often.

  4. Exotic Species What are exotic Species? To help stop the spread of Exotic/ Invasive Species, you can (if you go in the water) wash off you boat before you go into a new lake, ocean, river, ect. Exotic Species are plants or animals that are deliberately or accidentally introduced to a new area (habitat). Did you know..???? There are over 200 exotic species living in the state of Florida? How would you like a Burmese Python or a Nile Monitor in your back yard?

  6. Invasive Species What are Invasive species? • Invasive species is a species that does not naturally occur in a specific area and whose introduction does or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health. • To stop the spread of invasive species, you can help to not have them enter a new area where they can take over.
