  3. To form the present participle of a verb, drop the ending of the infinitive and add –andoor –iendo. • -arverbs esperar • -erverbs comer • -ir verbs escribir He is eating. Esta comiendo. <- andoesperando <-iendocomiendo <-iendoescribiendo

  4. When the stem of an –er or –ir verb ends in a vowel, change the –iendo to –yendo. • Leer • Oir • Creer I am reading. Estoyleyendo. Leyendo Oyendo Creyendo
