  5. Incidents • UK CHIRP : ”The attitude of the engineer was off-hand. He implied that both the captain and my own observations were wrong and that the aircraft had been de-iced properly.” • NASA ASRS: ” After starting the left engine, I was called by one of the cabin crew and was told that a pax as well as a deadheading CC had noticed that the wings were still covered with snow and ice”

  7. The locked cockpitdoor Cabin Crew represent the eyes and ears of the pilots in the cabin But need basic technical training in order to know why and what to report

  8. Conclusion • Cabin crew are a resource in emergencies and daily operations • CC need only very basic training onicing
