  5. Criminal Activities 5:07 p.m. EDT April 5, 2004 - Serial shootings suspect Charles A. McCoy Jr. pleaded not guilty Monday in a Franklin County courtroom, News Channel 4 reported. A Franklin County grand jury indicted Charles A. McCoy Jr. last week on numerous charges, including murder, attempted murder and vandalism. Identified as a suspect in the shootings in mid-March, he had first been charged in just one of the 24 shootings.
