The 2013 IGIC Biennial Conference led by Terry Brase, GISP from Kirkwood Community College, detailed the updated agreement between IGIC and ESRI to enhance software access for educational purposes across Iowa. Major users, including Iowa State University and UNI, will enjoy unlimited ESRI software access. In contrast, 11 private and community colleges will have limited access with 62 or 124 seats. Procedures for participating schools include submitting requests for software needs. The updates also highlight the transition to the next contract cycle and the forthcoming changes with the University of Iowa's inclusion.
