  2. Viruses What is a Computer virus? Computer viruses are horrible programs that get onto computers by the internet or e-mail. Viruses can be covered up by pretending to be a picture, film or advert. They can pretend to be normal computer programs that you might download, and then it would be on your computer without you knowing.

  3. Viruses What do computer viruses do? Computer viruses can get onto your computer and delete any memory. It can find out information about you, for example passwords. The people who made the virus can then log on to your accounts and find out even more information. They can make a computer slow or make it turn off all the time.

  4. Viruses What are the different types of virus? There are lots of different types of computer viruses that affect your computer in different ways. For example: • Email: Spread by e-mails • Worms: Copy themselves through networks • Trojan Horse: pretends to be a normal program

  5. Viruses How can you stop a computer virus? To stop from getting a virus on your computer you can download an anti-virus program. It will help stop the viruses getting onto your computer. The most simple way is just to not click on anything that you don’t know what it is.

  6. Viruses What are the disadvantages of anti-virus programs? The problem with anti-virus programs is that you have to update them all the time. This is because new viruses are made every day and to stop them you have to update it.
