The proposed modifications to the I-95/SR 1 interchange aim to tackle ten locations currently experiencing failing Levels of Service (LOS) under both existing and future conditions. Key improvements include the provision of Ramp B to enhance the merge from NB SR 1 to NB I-95, widening of I-95 NB north of SR 1 to improve freeway operations, and the separation of local and through traffic to eliminate several weaving issues. Additional measures, such as the relocation of Ramp C, are also set to streamline traffic flow and enhance safety at this critical interchange.
