  3. How should the school react? • Someonewho sits next tohim in class to help him/her • Someone he/shecan go towhenyou have problemsoutside the class • Strictertowardsbullies • Tryto put the person in a mixed class (with or without special needs) • Making a plan at the beginning of the year

  4. Grades • Not banning oralexercises • Rephrasequestions in examinationswhen he asksforexplanations • Extra classes or advanced classes duringnoon or after school (free of choice) • Lessstrictabouthanding in tasksand making tests

How teachersshould help • Every teacher should get basic information aboutall special needs • Individual information per case for the teacherswhoteachthat person • Help themwithworking on theirsocial skills (also basic) • Everyheadteachershould get advanced information • Givingthem the spaceand time tounderstandwhat is going on during class

  6. Notacceptablemeasures • isolation of the person • reducing the curriculum • Always telling the person he’s special • Informnobody

  7. How to deal withbullies • Giving the bulliestasksabout the special needs of the person they’rebullying • Stricterpunishmentsbecause most bulliedpeoplecan’tdefendthemself • Ifitgetsworse, theycould get suspended
