  2. Healing is no simple physical process. It is a synergistic relationship among our minds, emotions, and the body’s innate defence systems. This relationship between our psychological condition, nervous system, and immunity profoundly impacts how we heal. Nervous System’s Role in Healing The nervous system is the highway over which information travels between our brains and bodies. When stressed, anxious, or emotionally strained, our brain emits signals that stimulate the body’s relief system. This response stimulates the secretion of hormones such as cortisol and can impair various bodily functions, including immune responses.
