Dr Thomas Taylor The University of Edinburgh Before he could go on to complete his medical studies and begin his career as a surgeon, Dr. Thomas Taylor needed to build a foundation of knowledge on which he could build. After leaving Preston Catholic College, he made the decision to move to Scotland so that he could study at the University of Edinburgh. He completed his undergraduate studies there before moving to Manchester.

Dr Thomas Taylor Edinburgh Royal Infirmary After he had established himself as an excellent surgeon, Dr. Thomas Taylor made the decision to move back to Edinburgh so that he could take the position of Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. In this role, he was able to pass on the benefits of his experience to medical students, developing the teaching techniques that would serve him well later on.
