Unified SFD Proposal for 802.15.4g Standard

This proposal offers a unified approach for SFD schemes in the 802.15.4g standard. It suggests three SFD plans, with Plan B as the mandatory scheme and Plan D as an optional scheme. A PIB attribute is defined to indicate the SFD plan implementation.

  2. Unified SFD Proposal (Doc.10-0157-02 and Doc.10-0126-02)

  3. Unified SFD values • Doc# 10-157-02 proposed 3 SFDs (Plan A, B, and C) and Doc# 10-126-02 proposed one SFD Plan D • As a result of discussion by proposers, Plan B is the mandatory SFD and Plan D is optional SFD. • The word “mandatory SFD” means that all 802.15.4g compliant devices need to implement the SFD .

  4. Way Forward for SFD for MR-FSK • Define a PIB attribute with 0 indicating that the SFD’s are defined according to Plan B and with 1 indicating that the SFD’s are defined according to Plan D. It is mandatory that a device be capable of supporting Plan B SFD’s when the PIB attribute has value 0.
