  2. Once, there lived a lonely woodcarver named Geppetto. He decided to make a puppet out of some wood and call him Pinocchio. Geppetto was very happy that now he has someone to keep him company. He wanted to take care of Pinocchio as if he was his own son.

  3. Although Geppetto wanted the best for him, Pinocchio chose not to obey him. The story tells us how Pinocchio’s nose grows every time he lies and that he has to suffer the consequences after.

  4. Later in the story, Pinocchio’s friend Lamp-wick convinced him to go with him to a fun place called Playland. Pinocchio immediately accepted his offer although it was time for him to go home. He ran away with Lamp-wick and he missed months of school to take part in a puppet show. The puppet master locked him up in a cage when Pinocchio told him that he wanted to go home. Geppetto got worried when Pinocchio did not return home and so he went out searching for him.

  5. Pinocchio made the wrong decisions but at the end of the story he gave his savings of coins to his fairy who was sick in hospital. After that, Pinocchio became a real boy as he was very generous with the fairy.
