Proverbs 24:10-12 • 10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

Proverbs 24:10-12 • 10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. • Seems an isolated statement of fact • “You are weak if you cave in challenging times” • “When the going gets tough, the tough get going” • Actually an admonition to correction • Do not quit: Gal. 6:9 • Be strong and do right at all opportunities

According to his Works • Judged for works that were not done • James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. • Faint, Forbear, not involved, excuses made • Ability + Opportunity = Responsibility • Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
