  4. Summer and Winter Summer Winter Summer is very hot and humid (because of the Gulf of Mexico ) in Louisiana. Winter is very mild and chilly.

  5. Hunting and Fishing Duck hunting is popular in Louisiana. Fishing in the Gulf of Mexico is sometimes considered a sport.
