  3. Spirit of Liberalism • Irreverent toward God - Psa. 33:8; 89:7; 73:11; 2 Pet. 3:3 • Presumptuous toward the authority of God -Deut. 18:20; 2 Pet. 2:10 • Indifferent toward the word of God -Zeph. 1:12

  4. Liberal: What is it? • “not literal or strict: LOOSE… BROAD-MINDED; especially: not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or traditional forms” (M. Webster Online Dictionary) • “not bound by traditional ways or beliefs” (M W O Thesaurus) • Liberalism is not restrained by Bible traditions -Jer. 6:16; 2 Ths. 2:15; 2 John 9-11

  16. Hello Everyone, The West Oakland Church of Christ is pleased to host the first annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament. This exciting tournament set to take place on Sunday, July 3rd and Monday, July 4th. We are excited for the opportunity to host such a tournament and we hope that you can participate. Sunday, July 3rd Bible Study- 9:45am Worship Service- 11:00am  Basketball Competition- 3pm Monday, July 4th BBQ begins at 11am Playoff/Championship Games- 1pm The purpose of the basketball tournament is not only an opportunity to play a game we all love but also for us to fellowship with our fellow brothers and sisters in the body.   23. Liberalism Gets Upset Over Sermons Like This! “Who say to the seers, ‘Do not see,’ and to the prophets, ‘Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits’.” - Isaiah 30:10
