Director’s Report Building upon my comments in the Director's Report section of Jilanda SecureSmart's 2006 - 2007 Annual Account's, indeed the niche opportunities as hinted in my report regarding Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) has brought unprecedented opportunities globally which Jilanda SecureSmart is availing ourselves of with our Global Partners.  For example, inclusively Jilanda SecureSmart is liaising with the Microsoft Corporation in providing applicable solutions and services including Microsoft's and Nortel's Unified Communications Services for leveraging the Government of the Philippines' e-government services.  The Philippines' Government is a promoter and user of BPO and SOA services which is an area of focus that is being used to enable Philippines' Government's sustainable growth, a fact that was well articulated by Philippines Government officials and Her Excellency, the President of the Philippines, Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at a recent United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI) event which took place in London and which I was invited to and attended.   Further global Partner alliances have been formed in Australia with Melbourne IT with tangible corporate results and Apple, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Network Magic, Trend Micro, FaceTime Communications, Cobweb Solutions e.t.c to name a few and a plan to expand into the USA is now firmly being put into action and expected to materialise in September 2008. A strategic and technology Partnership is also being expedited with SafeNet. The above progress is evidently based upon applicable, impeccable collaboration, partnering, supplier-initiatives, which are being further strengthened operationally in enabling applicable secure seamless system integration in a most-dynamic world of Information Technology and Communications. Jilanda SecureSmart are clearly blazing pioneering advances with our global Partners in the many opportunities which “Software as a Service”, “Global Hosted Services”, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Services, Business process Outsourcing (BPO) e.t.c all bring to businesses ensuring cost-effectiveness, functional and fit-for-purpose hubs of business and operational effectiveness inclusively in the areas of SCM, CRM, ERP, financial solutions e.t.c. Certainly, the undisputed reality and power of the internet as a communication backbone upon which voice, data and video networks can converge continues to play a leading role in software development, business processes and their outsourcing, their modes of implementation and management. Working inclusively utilising SOA and BPO services, Jilanda SecureSmart are also working with, (to name a few): thawte (and the VTN) to supply and service manage applicable thawte and VTN services for Standard Bank Group's planned growth: RSA Security in delivering applicable RSA Security Services inclusively to Johannesburg Stock Exchange, Google Inc,  Schengen Information System (SIS) NTT in supplying applicable services for their planned growth Clove Business Systems in their provision of immigration and aviation services to Her Majesty’s UK Government. Jilanda SecureSmart's efforts in enabling Nigeria's sustainable growth as a UK based firm supported by the various commerce instruments of Her Majesty's UK Government are indeed paying off and Jilanda SecureSmart are actively working towards enabling the development of the Abuja Technology Village, a state-of-the-art Technology Park Project which has been awarded to Architect Massimiliano Fuksas, an Italian Architect who would be working inclusively with an Italian based firm, Arup Italia and Architect Massimiliano Fuksas' company, Massimiliano Fuksas Architetto in it’s development.    Clearly, our recommendations to the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) are paying off signified by FGN's response to Jilanda SecureSmart's recommendations in paying due respect to Her Majesty, the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth the 2nd signified inclusively by FGN, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the 25 Consolidated Banks of Nigeria hosting and participating at the Global Bankers Conference at the Dorchester, London attended inclusively by Professor Charles Soludo, CBN Governor and other international dignitaries. For firms which have implemented information security management best practise international standard, ISO27001, which is based upon the British Standards Institute's (BSI) BS7799, the road ahead towards achieving PCI DSS is nearer and Jilanda SecureSmart is favourably well placed to enable organisations globally be PCI DSS compliant in our global business alliances with thawte (VeriSign Trust Network - VTN), RSA Security, e.t.c  The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures.  The PCI Security Standards Council's mission is to enhance payment account data security by fostering broad adoption of the PCI Security Standards. The organization was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa Inc. To this end, Jilanda SecureSmart has applicably invested in trained Professionals and purpose-resolve partnerships and also has the good fortune of being a service provider of thawte (and VTN) and affiliated with RSA Security (major provider of PCI DSS compliant products, solutions and services i.e which comprises mainly of RSA Envision. Secure digital certificates, licenses and code signing ids i.e thawte as Jilanda SecureSmart provides are fundamental and extremely vital components of enabling PCI DSS compliance.  Having unrivalled industry knowledge and experience in e-commerce security, Jilanda SecureSmart i.e is aware that the PCI DSS organisation (https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/), utilise thawte on their own site in their informative, monitoring and PCI DSS compliance-enforcement services - a worthy testimony indeed and one which gives Jilanda SecureSmart an advantage,  an advantage that we value immensely knowing assuredly well that we have the support of the most powerful Governments in the world.

Jilanda SecureSmart’s global growth plans as indicated in the 2006 – 2007 Director’s report in the provision of crucial systems for economic development, sustenance and growth of nations is epitomised by the Philippine Government opportunities. Jilanda SecureSmart remain committed to establishing global infrastructure strategically and global infrastructural services focusing still on the niche e-commerce security and high technology services for enabling further cost-effective payment processes and settlements for sales performance and profit-maximisation. NB: To fulfil Her Majesty’s UK Government’s Revenue and Custom’s requirements whilst our numerous accounts as indicated above are expedited. 7. Profit & Loss As Jilanda SecureSmart U.K recorded no income in the year, effectively, the company was non-trading and therefore has no need of submitting a profit & loss account. Please see Director’s Report.
