  2. Ekalavya Project Project eKALAVYA • Launched at IITB on alumni day • 26 December 2004 • Pilot eGURU program for projects • Final year students • portal based scheme (2000+4000 students) • Red Hat scholarships • Some assistance from TAs • Work committed to Open Source

  3. Ekalavya Project eGURU program • Enroll willing expert volunteers • Industry professionals, teachers • Must commit 2 to 3 hours/week • Will identify areas/fields/domains • Help in formulating projects • Colleges and companies endorse and provide support

  4. Ekalavya Project Program • ASL at KReSIT • Maintain collaborative web site • Coordinate project activities • Provide useful information / links • assess submitted projects for awards / release to Open Source
