Kakadu National Park

Kakadu National Park, located in the Northern Territory of Australia, is approximately 170 km from Darwin. Covering an area of 19,804 km², it is known for its rich biodiversity, including numerous native species such as wallabies and over 1,700 plant species. The park also hosts endangered species and faces challenges from introduced animals like water buffalo and pigs, which threaten the native environment. Government initiatives aim to protect the park’s wildlife and minimize the impact of these non-native species, making it a focal point for conservation efforts.
