  1. The Master Photographers Association Background - The MPA was established in 1952, it is the UK's only trade body exclusively for full-time professional wedding, portrait and commercial photographers. Function - The MPA offers members a variety of membership benefits, including education, qualifications, informative regional meetings, national seminars, business building promotions and marketing support.

  2. The purpose of attendance and participation • The is many reasons for attending the MPA: • If you are a starting photographer you can join the MPA and benefit from it by getting: • Education - give you the knowledge you need to be a good photographer. • Qualifications - once you finish studying you get a qualification. • Join meetings and seminars – meet with other people, help you develop. • Business building promotions – help you to build/promote your business. • Marketing support – help you with marketing yourself/your business.

  3. The outcome of participation Beside getting all the benefits that I explain earlier, the main thing you will get out of this - is connections and ties. Once you’ll join this Professional Association or any other, you will have a kind of a bridge between you and the costumers. For a photographer to find more people he can work for, he needs connection and that website will be that connection. Another outcome will be the reliability. Once you are a member of the MPA, you are marked as a reliable person who can be fairly trusted with the job. Another outcome is that once you are a member you are marked as a Professional, you are not a kid with a camera anymore. One of the last and main outcome is that once are a member you have a Reputation (and a good one). The costumers, that will choose you, know that you have the spirit and the dignity of a professional. http://www.thempa.com/index.php
