This paper presents a unique author identifier system aimed at enhancing the classification and analysis of astronomical publications. Focusing on works from 20 major international observatories, Dennis Crabtree from NRC Herzberg in Victoria, BC explores bibliometric techniques to improve data management and comparison among research outputs. This study aims to streamline the process of tracking contributions and assessing the impact of astronomical research within the global scientific community.
