Organize information logically. Express yourself clearly and concisely. What you do: Listen to a short academic lecture on a variety of topics. Take a short pause to process the information (usually around 10 seconds). Retell the key points of the lecture in your own words within a set time limit (typically 40 seconds). What it tests: Comprehension: Can you understand the main ideas and supporting details presented in the lecture? Information organization: Can you identify the structure of the lecture and retell the information in a logical order? Clear communication: Can you express yourself fluently and accurately, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar? How is the Retell Lecture Scored? The retell lecture is scored based on several criteria, including: Content (maximum score: 5 points): Focus: Did you cover the main ideas of the lecture and avoid irrelevant details?
