  3. ASSESSMENTS • KWARTAAL 1 (TERM 1) • 10 ASSESSMENTS CONSISTING OF: • READING • WRITING • AND LANGAUGE RULES

  4. ASSESSMENTS • KWARTAAL 2 (TERM 2) • 6 ASSESSMENTS (30%) • JUNE EXAM PAPER : THE PAPER WILL CONSIST OF WORK DONE FROM TERM 1 AND 2 (70%)

GENERAL INFORMATION • SPELLING TEST WILL BE CONDUCTED EVERY 2 WEEKS. • SPELLING BOOKS WILL BE SENT HOME EVERY TERM FOR PARENTAL SIGNATURES. • LEANERS SHOULD READ AT LEAST 2 AFRIKAANS BOOKS PER MONTH. • CONSTANTLY CHECK CLASSWORK BOOKS. IF A CHILD IS ABSENT, IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THE WORK IS UP TO DATE IN THE BOOKS. • READING IMPROVES THE WRITING AND SPEAKING SKILLS OF THE LEARNER.
