  2. ORFEO Orfeo, músico y poeta tracio, era capaz de amansar a las fieras con su voz. Se casó con Eurídice, que murió prematuramente al ser picada por una serpiente. Orfeo bajó a los Infiernos a rescatarla. La condición para poder salir era no volver nunca la vista atrás, pero Eurídice, ya a las puertas del Inframundo, no pudo evitar volver su cabeza y, al instante, se convirtió en vapor. Orfeo se retiró a los montes de Tracia con la única compañía de los animales salvajes.
