  2. Output Resistor effect on the amplifier voltage gain

  3. Example • An amplifier has no-load voltage gain Avo equal to 50 and the output impedance equal to 1 k. Find the values of voltage gain when the following loads connected to the amplifier. 10 k, 1 k, 500 , 200 , 100 , 100 k

  4. Solution

  5. Example • An amplifier has no-load voltage gain Avo equal to 50 and the load connected to the output equal to 1 k. Find the values of voltage gain if known that the output impedance for the amplifier equal to: 0 , 100 , 200 , 500 , 1 k, 10 k, 100 k

  6. Solution

  7. Example • An amplifier has no-load voltage gain Avo equal to 100. When a load equal to 10 k connected to the amplifier output , the voltage gain became 90. Find the output impedance for this amplifier.

  8. Solution

  9. Example • Find the value of Av and Ai for the amplifier equivalent circuit shown below

  10. Solution

  11. Input Resistor effect on the amplifier voltage gain • Any voltage source has an internal resistor as shown below

  12. Example • An amplifier has no-load voltage gain Avo equal to 50 connected with voltage source has an internal resistor equal to 1 k. Find the values of voltage gain Avs if known that the input impedance for the amplifier equal to:100 , 200 , 500 , 1 k, 10 k, 100 k

  13. Solution

  14. The common effect of amplifier input and output resistors on amplifier voltage gain

  15. Example • A voltage amplifier has an input resistor equal to 2, and output resistor equal to 25 , and no-load voltage gain equal to 500. if this amplifier was used to amplify a signal from voltage source has an internal resistor equal to 500 , and internal voltage equal 20mV, and the load connected on the amplifier output equal 75 . Find the value of Av, Avs and Ai

  16. Solution

  17. Example • For the circuit below, the output voltage equal to 100 mV when the switch s is close, and the output become 50 mV when the switch is open. Find the input impedance value for this amplifier.

  18. Solution • When the switch is close the equivalent circuit become as shown below

  19. When the switch is open the equivalent circuit become as shown below
