READ: HOSEA 4:1-2 1 Hear the word of the LORD, You children of Israel, For the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land: "There is no truth or mercy Or knowledge of God in the land. 2 By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed. READ: PSALMS 74:7-8 7 They have set fire to Your sanctuary; They have defiled the dwelling place of Your name to the ground. 8 They said in their hearts, "Let us destroy them altogether.“ They have burned up all the meeting places of God in the land. READ: LEVITICUS 26:23-25 23 'And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. READ: JEREMIAH 24:5-7 5 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: 'Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for their own good, into the land of the Chaldeans. 6 For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. 7 Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

You shall not be unpunished, for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth," says the LORD of hosts.' NKJV

READ: EZEKIEL 21:6-7 BABYLON, THE SWORD OF GOD 6 Sigh therefore, son of man, with a breaking heart, and sigh with bitterness before their eyes. 7 And it shall be when they say to you, 'Why are you sighing?' that you shall answer, 'Because of the news; when it comes, every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming and shall be brought to pass,' says the Lord GOD.“

  24. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 21:6 6 Sigh therefore, son of man, with a breaking heart, and sigh with bitterness before their eyes. WHAT DID THE LORD TELL EZEKIEL TO DO? WHY? WHAT DID ISAIAH SAY? WHY? READ: ISAIAH 22:3-4 3 All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. All who are found in you are bound together; They have fled from afar. 4 Therefore I said, "Look away from me, I will weep bitterly; Do not labor to comfort me Because of the plundering of the daughter of my people." DID THE LORD WARN ISRAEL WHAT WOULD HAPPEN? READ: LEVITICUS 26:36-37 36 'And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a shaken leaf shall cause them to flee; they shall flee as though fleeing from a sword, and they shall fall when no one pursues. 37 They shall stumble over one another, as it were before a sword, when no one pursues; and you shall have no power to stand before your enemies. READ: ISAIAH 34:5-6 5 “For My sword shall be bathed in heaven; Indeed it shall come down on Edom, And on the people of My curse, for judgment. 6 The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, It is made overflowing with fatness, With the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom. NKJV

WHO IS COMING AGAINST HIS PEOPLE? WHAT DID THE LORD SAY TO THE ARMIES OF EGYPT? READ: JEREMIAH 46:3-5 3 “Order the buckler and shield, And draw near to battle! 4 Harness the horses, And mount up, you horsemen! Stand forth with your helmets, Polish the spears, Put on the armor! 5 Why have I seen them dismayed and turned back? Their mighty ones are beaten down; They have speedily fled, And did not look back, For fear was all around," says the LORD. NKJV

WHAT IS THE LORD DOING? WHY? WHO IS THIS? WHAT IS IN HIS MOUTH? READ: REVELATION 19:15-16 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. NKJV

  44. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 21:12 12 "Cry and wail, son of man; For it will be against My people, Against all the princes of Israel. Terrors including the sword will be against My people; Therefore strike your thigh. WHAT DID THE LORD TELL EZEKIEL TO DO? WHY SHOULD EZEKIEL STRIKE HIS THIGH? WHAT DID JEREMIAH DO? READ: JEREMIAH 31:19 19 Surely,after my turning,I repented; And after I was instructed, I struck myself on the thigh; I was ashamed, yes, even humiliated, Because I bore the reproach of my youth.' The scepter shall be no more,“ says the Lord GOD. 14 "You therefore, son of man, prophesy, And strike your hands together. The third time let the sword do double damage. It is the sword that slays, The sword that slays the great men, That enters their private chambers.
