  2. How many chapters are there? There are 9 chapters in waiting for Anya and I’ve read 5 of them but I’m on page 102 and there's 187 pages. There is 16 pages in a chapter.

  3. An extract from Waiting for Anya. Chapter 6 Grandpere lowered the iron. “What the devil are you doing here, Jo?” It was a moment or two before Jo could catch his breath. “They’re coming,” he said. “The soldiers, they’re searching all the houses.” you sure?” said Grandpere going to the window. “I’m sure” Jo said. “Well,” said the Widow Horcada. “You told us it would happen Henri, and it has. It’s what we planed for isn’t it?” “You’ll be all right will you?” Grandpere said pulling on his coat. “ of course we will,” she said. “ now get going and be quick about it.”

  4. Blurb Jo did not stop until he’d shut the door behind him and even then his heart could not stop pounding in his ears. Jo finds out that the Jewish children are being smuggled away over the mountains near his village. All goes to plan until German soldiers start patrolling the mountains, and Jo realises the children are trapped. Jo’s slightest mistake could have devastating consequences…
