Technological transfer patent 31patents of which 5 co-owned by Politecnico since 2001 spin-off 5 Spin-off Politecnico Politecnico is a shareholder since April 2004 4 Academic Spin-off Politecnico partecipates with personal, offices, etc… But it is not a shareholder incubator I3P 50 new businesses have come through the Incubator. 20 businesses have now successfully completed the maximum period of 3 years in the incubator since 2000 In 2004 I3P is the winner of the 3rd edition of the “Best Science Based Incubator Award”, participated by more than 50 incubators Prof. C. GM Research Center From June 2008 General Motors Powertrain is going to establish the main research centre for the development of Diesel engines and electronic control systems a series of collaborations and exchanges for research and education, PhDs included, masters, degree dissertations, apprenticeship and organization of joint seminars The agreement foresees 20,000 sm at its disposal equipped with laboratories 16 test cells and direction offices Around 300 highly qualified professionals are going to work in the area.
