  2. TALOS • The US government called for a new TALOS: • Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit • Advanced Infantry Uniform • Promises to provide: • Superhuman Strength • Greater ballistic protection TALOS: Iron Man Super Suit

  3. Combat Uses • ‘Liquid Armor’ • Stiffens at moment of contact for increased stopping power • Increased mobility in a battle suit • Sensor Cues • Monitors heart rate, breathing, temperature • Wound-stasis, to stop bleeding

  4. Non-Combat Use • Intelligent weight distribution • Reduces stress on joints • Exoskeleton • Increased strength • Increased physical capacity • Internal body sensors • Injury sensors

  5. Complexity • Most complex armor created • Multiple industries working on it • Technology from all different fields • Most advanced technology in each field • Some technology isn’t finished yet • High expectations

  7. Opposition • Many believe that it is promoting sending more troops into combat because of ‘increased security of troops’ • Many flaws in design • Not expected to be field-tested for three years • Non-existent technology • Long-lasting power source
