Meeting At School • We went to our class • We looked in our binders • Fr. Dennis blessed us with prayers. • We got on the bus. Goodbye.
The Plane Ride • We loaded our luggage. • We got on the plane. • I said goodbye to Oahu. • I said hello to Hilo.
Farmers’ Market • The Farmers’ Market had good food. • There were cool drawings of Nene goose.
Mokupapapa • We saw interesting fishes. • We learned about marine debris. • We got to watch a movie.
Lyman Museum • There was good information about the Lymans. • We saw how the Lymans lived.
Akaka Falls • We heard the story of Akaka. . • We saw the amazing Akaka Falls. • We also saw Kahuna falls too.
Dinner Time! • The dinner was great! • We had hamburgers and rice. • I had a great time .
Naha Stone • I couldn’t believe Kamehameha lifted the Naha Stone. • It was longer than me!
Tsunami Museum • We learned about tsunamis. • We saw the 1946 tsunami in Hilo.
Thurston Lava Tube • We saw a lava tube where lava flowed. • There was water dripping from the tube. • You could barely see your way.
Jaggar Museum • We saw the seismographs. • There was a unique picture of a canoe. • We saw the seismographs’ records.
Onizuka space museum • We saw Ellison Onizuka’s life. • We learned about astronauts. • There was cool toys.
Punalu’u Black Sand Beach • We saw whales at the beach. • The sand was made from volcano ashes.
Back to Oahu • I was happy to be back home. • I wanted to see my family. • It was the best trip ever!
