Principles of IAF • All assessments have the potential to be integrated • Children/young people and their families will get the right help at the right time. • Information will be shared • The child/young person and the family will be at the centre of and involved proactively in the integrated assessment process • Interventions will be proportionate to need. • The action planning process will rationalise multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meeting in respect of children/young people and families. • Action planning and the Action Plan be sufficiently comprehensive to rationalise the number of multi-agency/specialist fora that take place, including those with a statutory basic (e.g. LAC review/Educational Needs

TIMESCALES • An initial response is required within the • Emergency – 24 hours • Crisis – 72 hours • All other cases must have a lead identified, the Child Protection policies and procedures must be applied.
