  3. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ASM/ATC Denmark Flexible Airspace Structures and Procedures: Availabletools: CDR1/CDR2/CDR3 & TSA/TRA/R-/D-areas AMC manageable: CDR1/CDR2 & TSA/R-/D-areas Level 3 tactical ASM/ATC: TRA & CDR3

  4. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ASM Denmark AMC manageable: D-1 pre-planning with regard to available airspace are done according to the FUA concept. Closure of TSAs are managed via CIAM. The system generates a “REJ” to flightplans penetrating the TSA on a FRA flightpath or via a closed CDR. “Associated areas” are published around the TSAs generating a buffer of ~3,5 NM as well as “Anchor points” which makes it possible to flightplan FRA around TSAs. Day of Operation: In activated TSAs OAT operations have priority and GAT cannot penetrate. UUPs can be generated via CIAM in case of cancellation of booking for the afternoon sorties by AMC.

  5. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ASM/ATC Denmark Level 3 tactical ASM/ATC: Day of Operation: TRAs can be activated by the Fighter Allocator with 15 minutes pre-notification. When TRAs are activated GAT can be coordinated through by restricting OAT operations in levels or areas.

  7. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ASM/ATC Sweden Flexible Airspace Structures and Procedures: Availabletools: CDR1/CDR2 & TRA/PCA AMC manageable: CDR2 Level 3 tactical ASM/ATC: PCA & CDR1 R-/D-areas arepublished H24 and activated at Level 3. ”When a clearence has beenobtained for a flight along a route penetrating a restricted area withincontrolledairspace, special permission to cross this area is not required.” ENR 1.3-6

  8. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ASM Sweden AMC manageable: D-1 pre-planning with regard to available airspace are done according to the FUA concept. Closure of CDR2s are managed via CIAM. The system generates a “REJ” to flightplans via a closed CDR. No majortraffic flows are on CDR2s. Traffic on a FRA flight-path will be handled tactically with a maximum re-route of 20 NM. AMC is informed about planned activity in TRAs but it does not affect availability to CDR2. Sweden together with Finland are conducting dry-runs with the aim of establishing procedures for activation of EU CBA 10 Lapland and EU CBA 11 Bothnia. These CBAs/TRAs will be managed by AMC Finland as lead AMC. UUPs can be generated via CIAM in case of cancellation of booking for the afternoon sorties by AMC.

  9. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ASM/ATC Sweden Level 3 tactical ASM/ATC: Day of Operation: 30 min prior to activation of a PCA/TRA ATCC is informed about the request. This information is put into the ATC system and made available to the controllers. This 30 min pre-notification enables ATC to “clean up the airspace”. Priority Rules: In an activated PCA/TRA Mil has priority except for traffic on available ATS-routes/CDRs that penetrates the area (in FRA environment along an available ATS-route). These flights are up to coordination how to fly through the area. Agreed maximum of 20 NM in total – will not exceed what is available via ATS route/CDR.

  10. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ASM/ATC Sweden The entire Swedish FIR/UIR is covered with PCA/TRA with the exception Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö TMA These areas are normally available all levels with two limitations: • ATS Routes between • Sthlm– Gbg - Malmö TMA and Sthlm – Oslo TMA • Strategic agreement with • Air force normally avoids certain areas during peak hours

  11. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ASM/ATC Sweden Permanent ATS route CDR2 CDR1 Published route extension

  12. ASM in Free Route Airspace in DK/SE FAB ATFCM Denmark/Sweden • The sector capacity is rarely affected to the extent that restrictions needs to be implemented due to OAT activity in DK/SE FAB. • Close co-operation between ATC and Fighter Control • Strategic agreements • No major traffic flows on CDR2s • TSAs are strategically placed to reduce impact on GAT traffic flows
