  2. What is IT waste? IT waste also known as e-waste, is the electrical or electronic product which is no longer wanted or useful. E-waste covers computers and computer equipment including printers, scanners, keyboards, mice and monitors as well as televisions.

  3. Why is e-waste harmful? IT equipment contains several hazardous materials and toxins which are harmful to human health and the environment if not disposed of carefully. These hazardous materials cause an increased risk of cancer if inhaled by workers and local residents or by entering the food chain via crops from the surrounding fields.
