  4. A study was conducted in a multinational company to assess the severity of • modernization in office environment especially the impact of using computers. • It was observed that majority of the people did not have right kind of workstation in terms of • work table, chair and other gadgets.

Most of the seating systems used by them were not suitable for their long hours of • working from one place in a static position. • The continuous long term work environment, coupled with very poor physical • exercise program to maintain their health status are the additive factors for MSDs. • To match the work environment of today, there is a need to choose the right seating • system.
